A Step-by-step guide to setting New Year’s climbing goals

Happy New Year! As December winds down it’s normal to contemplate the year past and the year to come. What went well? What were the challenges? How do you want to grow in 2022? What do you want to accomplish? As a rock climber, this kind of reflection is likely to drift toward some climbing goals.

There are lots of ways to use goal-setting in climbing, some more effective than others. But, of course, the worst way is to not set goals at all!
